Description
Shingen Shidō is a muscular young man with dark skin and a prominent purple demon face tattoo on his left shoulder. Decorative white bandages wrap his forearms from elbows to lower palms. He possesses brown eyes and two-toned red hair, typically wearing a two-horned oni-shaped headdress with yellow eyes. His attire consists of a purple vest-like haori with yellow linings, white rope-like arm rings, matching thigh armor, and baggy white pants adorned with a purple triangular mountain formation at the bottom; his card deck is strapped to his arm.

Personality-wise, Shingen exhibits stubborn, hot-tempered, and independent traits, frequently discussing themes of life and death. He initially refuses participation in the national tournament due to reluctance toward teammates requiring reliance on him.

As a renowned S-Class purple card battler from Kai carrying the epithet "Demon of War," local residents hoped his participation would bring recognition to their town. Toshiie Homura recruits him as a third teammate, though Shingen initially declines and destroys a bridge during their encounter. He reconsiders after witnessing Toshiie's determination and physical capability in pursuit.

Shingen's battle record includes victories against Dousan in his debut match and Toukichirou Mashira during the Warring States Championship preliminaries. He questions Yukimura Rekka's worthiness as an opponent but acknowledges Yukimura's determination after losing their quarterfinal match. Following this defeat, he declines Toshiie's warm-up match invitation, expressing anticipation for a future rematch with Yukimura. He later appears at the stadium to support Yukimura and commits to rigorous training to surpass him.

He exclusively uses a purple deck featuring key spirits like The OgreHorseMusha Kugai, Musha Devil, and Wolf Ogre. His ultimate card is The SengokuSixGeneral Mudou, activated with incantations such as "Devour my soul! Then become a rampaging power to destroy all!" and "Rampage, Mudou! In exchange for this soul... All that stands in my way will be devoured!" when initiating Soul Drive effects. Other notable cards include Fuurin Kazan and Mark-of-Zorro magic/burst cards. The name "Fuurin Kazan" references the battle standard of the historical Takeda clan, aligning with his namesake Takeda Shingen.

His character development transitions from solitary battler to invested teammate, culminating in dedicated self-improvement after recognizing Yukimura's strength. His background and card themes incorporate Sengoku-period warlord motifs, particularly through the Takeda Shingen inspiration.
