Description
Nathaniel Adams, a resolute and self-assured figure, uncovered a cryptic crystal marble by a river sixty years before the series’ primary timeline. This artifact unlocked his ability to see Yo-kai, driving him to aid and form bonds with the spectral beings. Motivated by these encounters, he designed the prototype Yo-kai Watch, the Model Zero, which became the foundation for future models.

A pivotal tragedy shattered his resolve: Dame Dedtime manipulated bullies to harm a close friend, leaving Nathaniel guilt-ridden and fearful. He severed ties with humans and Yo-kai alike, abandoning his watch’s development. Decades later, this choice disrupted his grandson Nate’s access to Yo-kai memories and the watch’s powers.

When the Yo-kai Hovernyan hurled Nate back in time to mend the fractured timeline, Nathaniel initially rebuffed his grandson’s presence. Reluctantly accepting Nate as an ally, they united against Dame Dedtime’s forces, freeing Jibanyan and recruiting Yo-kai reinforcements. Confronting the crisis reignited Nathaniel’s bravery, triggering the Model Zero’s emergence on his wrist. Reinvigorated, he harnessed teamwork to summon Classic Yo-kai and vanquish Dedtime’s enforcers, Kin and Gin.

Post-battle, Nathaniel entrusted the Model Zero to Nate, vowing to craft a new watch. He later wed Lucy, a childhood companion, fathering a son named Aaron. Lucy inherited his marble-granted sight, while Nathaniel mentored Nate in combat and trust. His legacy transcended death, reincarnating him as the Yo-kai Moximous N.

Nathaniel’s rugged attire—a white tank top, beige shorts, blue cape, and wooden sandals—mirrored Nate’s, complemented by an orange-charm necklace. He wielded a hot sauce-doused wooden club against Wicked Yo-kai. His arc, marked by loss, resurgence, and sacrifice, cemented the Model Zero’s role in bridging humans and Yo-kai, echoing through generations as a testament to redemption’s enduring power.
