Movie
Description
Originating as the human Otoki in Japan's Sengoku period, Dame Dedtime suffered false accusations from Shogun Waitington. Imprisoned for life over a broken clock she never touched, this wrongful confinement festered into intense resentment. This bitterness manifested upon her death, transforming her into a yo-kai driven to steal time and happiness from humans, mirroring the life unjustly taken from her.

Her base form presents as an elderly woman with violet hair styled in a courtesan fashion, greyish skin, long nails, and regal orange attire adorned with a golden hairpiece. She wields a violet hourglass-shaped cane. This form commands chronokinesis, manipulating time via a giant clock to rewind events or displace individuals. She also wields electrokinesis and cryokinesis for elemental assaults, unleashes sonic screams that project energy waves, and generates Wicked yo-kai minions through bodily functions. She directs elite Wicked yo-kai like Unfairy and Untidy to enact her schemes.

Her antagonism escalates across encounters. In "Yo-kai Watch: The Movie", she serves as the primary antagonist, orchestrating events to prevent the Yo-kai Watch's creation and kidnapping Jibanyan to lure protagonists into traps. Defeated, she absorbs fallen minions to transform into Kyodai Ubaune—a colossal entity composed of countless miniature self-clones. This form is ultimately vanquished through fused yo-kai energies.

In "Yo-kai Watch 2" (Bony Spirits/Fleshy Souls/Psychic Specters), she manipulates factions into conflict and infects humans across timelines with mind-controlling masks. Following initial defeats, she absorbs positive human emotions to assume the monstrous Dame Demona form, characterized by a serpentine fuchsia body, four arms, and beast-like red eyes. This form wields amplified destructive power. Her defeat results in a 60-year imprisonment within the lowest level of the Infinite Inferno.

Her redemption unfolds in "Psychic Specters". Compelled to participate in Directator's film project revisiting her past, she reluctantly confronts her human history. Time travel via Miradox reveals her lover Senkichi faithfully awaited her return. Facing this truth sparks remorse for her hatred, triggering a transformation into Dame Deartime—a purified form with softer features and lily-colored hair. Choosing atonement, she remains within the Infinite Inferno to facilitate the redemption of other Wicked yo-kai.

Her consistent abilities encompass time manipulation, minion summoning, and transformations fueled by absorbed energy or emotional extremes. Her narrative arc spans vengeance-driven tyranny to eventual reconciliation, rooted in the trauma of judicial injustice and isolation.
