Hibachi is a sixteen-year-old female ninja specializing in explosives and a member of a bug-hunting organization. She hails from a family renowned for their Chinpou Style explosives techniques, a legacy she is determined to master and inherit. Her grandfather, however, refuses to pass down the techniques to a woman, prompting Hibachi to join the organization to prove her worth and earn his acceptance.

She stands 158 cm tall with fair skin, straight waist-length dull blue hair usually tied in twin tails, and greenish-blue eyes. Her attire includes a strapless black tank top, a yellow sleeveless gi, grey wristbands with two dull-blue balls, elbow-length green gloves, a black mini-skirt, purple stockings, and a pink ribbon on her back.

Driven to prove herself, Hibachi initially admires Mugai, the organization’s strongest warrior, after he saves her life during a mission where her fear causes her to fail against an Aoonlyama Demon Dragonfly. This incident fosters deep respect and affection for him.

Her dynamic with fellow member Jinbei Tsukishima begins as a rivalry, as both seek Mugai’s approval. During a joint mission to investigate insect attacks, they confront an Aoonlyama Demon Dragonfly. Hibachi initially rejects Jinbei’s assistance but eventually accepts it, and they defeat the insect without him drawing his sword. This cooperation leads Hibachi to develop a grudging respect for Jinbei, which later evolves into romantic feelings. She displays jealousy when other women approach him and fights with increased confidence under his observation.

Hibachi engages in numerous battles, including one against Saizou Kirigakure of the Sanada Ten Great Insects. She appears to defeat him, only to later discover it was a clone possessing a fraction of his true power.

In the manga’s conclusion, Hibachi marries Jinbei Tsukishima and bears three children with him. This union forms part of a broader storyline in which Jinbei has multiple wives, each mothering three of his children.
