Description
Natsume Asahina is the seventh son of the Asahina family and the youngest fraternal triplet brother of Tsubaki and Azusa. He possesses orange hair, violet eyes, and a distinctive beauty mark beneath his lower lip. His usual attire is a black suit jacket, white shirt, and green checkered necktie, later shifting to a light green v-neck sweater with a blue tie. Lean and athletic, he stands 176 cm tall. Natsume exhibits a blunt yet encouraging personality, often taking initiative to resolve family conflicts. A calm exterior masks lingering self-doubt rooted in his high school decision to quit competitive sports for practical future concerns, a choice that severely damaged his relationship with his brother Subaru and left Natsume burdened with guilt, feeling less accomplished than his siblings. Professionally, he works as an executive at Eden Games, producer of the zombie game "Zombie Hazard" which interests Ema Hinata. Unlike most brothers, he lives independently.

His character arc centers on developing romantic feelings for his stepsister, Ema. They first meet at their parents' wedding, where he mistakes her for an outsider. Later, he provides crucial emotional support when Ema struggles with her adoption revelation, comforting her and affirming her place in the family. During this vulnerable moment, he kisses her and openly confesses his unwavering love despite their familial tie. While respecting her wish to prioritize family bonds, he declares he will never relinquish his feelings. His fractured relationship with Subaru gradually heals after Subaru apologizes for past hostility, aided by Natsume's persistent encouragement of Subaru’s basketball career.

As a fraternal triplet, he shares a unique dynamic with Tsubaki and Azusa. Though less inseparable than his identical-twin brothers, he maintains regular contact, particularly concerning Tsubaki’s well-being. He subtly demonstrates affection by naming his two pet cats after Tsubaki and Azusa; the cats were a rainy-night gift from Tsubaki, and their behaviors mirror his brothers' personalities. Additional traits include ambidexterity, sharing smoking habits with Hikaru, a poor sense of direction, and having naturally black hair in high school before dyeing it orange.

Within broader family life, he participates in gatherings like Kaname’s club event. He acts protectively in crises, exemplified when lunging to stop Wataru from falling into a pond, resulting in his own immersion. He also engages in lighter moments, joining group gaming sessions, though his competitive streak surfaces during Valentine’s Day as he strives to create perfect chocolate for Ema.
