TV-Series
Description
Azusa Asahina is the sixth son of the Asahina family. He is one-third of a set of triplets, born alongside his identical twin brother Tsubaki and their fraternal triplet brother Natsume. At twenty-four years old during the main storyline, he stands at 176 centimeters tall. He has black hair that often falls across the left side of his face, a small beauty mark beneath his right eye, and dark purple eyes. He is consistently seen wearing black-framed glasses and favors a sharp, coordinated fashion style, often dressed in black blazers and pants with distinctive accessories.

In terms of personality, Azusa is defined by his calm, level-headed, and highly sensible nature. He possesses a great deal of common sense, which makes him the perfect counterbalance to his more excitable and impulsive twin brother, Tsubaki, for whom he frequently acts as a "brake". Despite being a natural genius who can handle most tasks with ease, Azusa has a tendency to lose interest in things quickly and does not always stick with a single pursuit for a long time. While his outward demeanor is cool and reserved, he harbors a deep and abiding affection for his family, particularly for Tsubaki, whom he loves more than anyone else.

Azusa works as a professional voice actor, a career he initially entered at the urging of his twin brother Tsubaki. For a time, his primary motivation for continuing in the field was simply to be close to Tsubaki, leading to a lack of his own personal drive and feelings of inadequacy compared to his brother's clear passion. A significant turning point in his professional life arrives when he auditions for and lands a coveted lead role in a reboot of a beloved anime series. This creates a point of tension, as Tsubaki had also auditioned for the same part. Azusa's initial impulse is to decline the role to avoid hurting his brother, demonstrating his characteristic self-sacrificing nature. However, with encouragement from Tsubaki and the heroine Ema, he comes to accept that his own ambitions are valid and takes the part. The intense workload from this role eventually takes a toll on his health, leading to his hospitalization for meningitis.

Azusa's key relationships are central to his character development. His bond with Tsubaki is the most significant and complex; it is a close, intertwined relationship forged from childhood sacrifices and mutual dependence. Their connection evolves from one where Azusa constantly prioritizes Tsubaki's happiness to a more balanced dynamic of healthy rivalry and mutual respect, particularly after the competition over the voice acting role. He maintains a more distant but still respectful relationship with his other triplet, Natsume, who often observes Azusa's changing behavior with a knowing eye.

His relationship with the heroine, Ema, starts from a place of distance, but gradually deepens as she helps him recognize his own self-worth during the voice acting conflict. He develops strong romantic feelings for her, leading him to confess to her during his stay in the hospital. This confession marks a major shift in his motivations, as he moves from being a supportive brother to a romantic rival against Tsubaki and his other siblings, even vowing that he will not lose her to anyone. Although his feelings for Ema become a primary focus, his identity remains tied to his role as a caring brother, shown through his hobby of cleaning Tsubaki's room and his thoughtfulness towards other family members.

Azusa's notable abilities include his high-level skills as a voice actor, where his acting technique is recognized as superior even to Tsubaki's. Beyond his professional talents, he possesses sharp perceptiveness and can be cunning when the situation demands it. He is academically accomplished, having graduated from the history department of a prestigious university, and even holds a first-class pilot's license. His character arc throughout the story is one of self-discovery, where he transitions from a talented but directionless individual living in his twin's shadow to a more confident, ambitious man who pursues his own professional goals and romantic desires with conviction.
