Description
Karauri is a demon employed in Japanese Hell as Hoozuki's subordinate. Though he resembles a child at 140 cm (4'7") tall, his imp or gnome heritage makes him a young man. His sensitive skin requires attire made exclusively from 100% cotton fabrics. His name means "cucumber" in Japanese.

In his duties, Karauri acts as a reliable and level-headed figure, often playing the straight man to counter his best friend Nasubi's eccentric antics. He rarely loses focus unless Nasubi's behavior forces his attention. While frequently exasperated by Nasubi's illogical remarks or childish actions, the two share a close, almost brotherly bond. Karauri admires Nasubi's artistic skills, though he concedes he cannot appreciate them as deeply as Hoozuki does.

Professionally, Karauri regards Hoozuki as both a superior and mentor. Hoozuki treats Karauri and Nasubi as equals, explains tasks thoroughly, and includes them during errands in Hell. Karauri looks up to Hoozuki with visible awe, mirroring his respectful demeanor toward other superiors like Oko. He aspires to work in Shugou Hell (Mortal Hell) primarily because Oko, the chief assistant there, works in that section.

Karauri harbors a significant crush on Oko, often blushing or becoming visibly flustered in her presence. He views her as chic and beautiful, though Nasubi observes Karauri is particularly attracted to her shapely figure. This infatuation leads Karauri to mutter her name dreamily while performing chores like scrubbing clothes at her residence. His admiration stems partly from an incident where Oko kindly overlooked a mistake by Nasubi, sparing both demons punishment. Hoozuki once declined Oko's offer to guide Karauri and Nasubi around Shugou Hell, causing visible disappointment in Karauri.

Across all official media, Karauri's role remains consistent as a supporting character focused on his duties and interactions with Nasubi, Hoozuki, and Oko.
