Description
Appearing solely in "Mobile Suit Gundam-san" episode 11 ("A Mobile Suit's Feelings"), the sentient RX-78-2 Gundam, addressed as "Gundam-niisan" (Gundam-brother) by the newly assigned unit "10Q", possesses verbal communication and distinct personality. Gundam-niisan voices frustration to 10Q about his pilot, Amuro Ray, complaining that Amuro unjustly claims credit for combat successes which Gundam-niisan attributes to the mobile suit's own capabilities rather than pilot skill. Their audible dialogue occurs with Amuro Ray partially aware of the exchange while Sayla Mass demonstrates full awareness. This character provides a comedic perspective on the machine-pilot relationship, explicitly presenting the mobile suit's viewpoint on shared combat experiences. This sentient interpretation of the Gundam appears only in this specific episode and not in other official Gundam media.
