Description
Amelie Planchard hailed from a Normandy farming family in northwestern Gallia, manifesting magical talents young as her lineage’s first witch. Enrolled in a national magical training institute during her youth, she endured prolonged separation from her family. When the Neuroi overran Gallia, she remained a non-combatant trainee before evacuating to Britannia via Operation Dynamo. Joining the Free Gallian Air Force, she transitioned from trainee to certified Air Infantryman, operating first with a Britannian-issued Spitfire Mk. V striker unit before upgrading to an Armurier de l'Aéronautique VG.39bis upon transfer to the Isle of Wight Detachment Group.

Her emotionally sensitive nature, prone to tears when overwhelmed, intertwined with a craving companionship forged through childhood isolation. This drew her into a deep bond with Perrine H. Clostermann, serving as her wingman in a Britannian defense squadron until Perrine’s reassignment to the 501st Joint Fighter Wing. Inspired by Perrine’s tenacity, Amelie subtly integrated Perrine’s emblem into her striker’s markings during joint postwar reconstruction efforts in liberated Gallia.

Post-detachment dissolution, she aided Gallia’s recovery alongside Perrine, resettling at the Clostermann estate in Pas-de-Calais. There, she nurtured Julius and Rose—war-orphaned siblings—helping Rose heal while easing friction between Julius and Perrine.

Within the *One Winged Witches* spin-off, Amelie joined the eponymous unit of witches deemed incompatible with elite squads. Motivated by timid aspirations to reunite with Perrine, she honed her skills under Wilma Bishop’s guidance. A rivalry with Francie Gerard, fueled by mutual admiration for Perrine and Charlotte E. Yeager, underscored her incremental strides toward confidence.

Less documented facets include instructing Perrine in chamomile tea preparation, a practice unintentionally popularized across Gallia via press features. Though her combat exploits lack extensive records, she demonstrated competent magical aptitude and academic achievements, though hindered by persistent self-doubt.
