OVA
Description
Eiko Aizawa, a high school student with auburn hair and amber eyes, works as deputy manager at her family's Lemon Beach House alongside her older sister Chizuru. She typically wears the restaurant uniform or casual long-sleeve tops in various colors. Living with Chizuru and younger brother Takeru, Eiko displays a short temper, impatience, and a practical approach to responsibilities. She struggles academically, especially with math, and prioritizes video games over studying or homework. A language barrier exists as she is the only family member unable to understand English, causing awkwardness. Despite her stern demeanor, she shows a fondness for animals, like her best friend Sanae Nagatsuki's dog, Alex.

Initially skeptical and frustrated by Ika Musume's declaration of invading humanity, Eiko employs Ika after she damages the restaurant wall to cover repairs. Eiko strongly objects to Ika moving in but eventually shares her bedroom under Chizuru's insistence. Over time, Eiko frequently acts as the "straight man" to Ika's antics, teasing her about failed invasions or cultural misunderstandings. Though she publicly downplays their bond, calling Ika merely an employee, Eiko demonstrates protectiveness, objecting to others "borrowing" Ika and only reluctantly agreeing to temporary exchanges. Ika's academic prowess sparks jealousy in Eiko, who is too prideful to seek homework help.

Eiko respects Chizuru but is bewildered by her leniency towards Ika and calmness under stress, occasionally recalling Chizuru's hidden wrath. Her childhood friendship with Sanae Nagatsuki endures, though Eiko finds Sanae's obsessive crush on Ika off-putting and actively tries to curb it out of concern. She shares a distant history with lifeguard Gorō Arashiyama, occasionally teasing him about his fear of ghosts or unspoken feelings for Chizuru. With Takeru, she is generally permissive but intervenes quickly if Ika's actions endanger him.

Eiko gradually softens toward Ika, culminating in shared activities like becoming volleyball teammates. When Ika briefly returns to the sea, Eiko openly displays sadness followed by relief upon her return. A significant moment occurs when Ika saves Eiko from drowning, reactivating her tentacle regeneration. Later conflicts, such as a festival argument where Eiko coldly declares "I'm done" and refuses to search for a missing Ika, resolve when Eiko panics upon mistaking a floating object for Ika and reconciles after finding her safe. OVAs explore their dynamics further, including facing virtual challenges together while gaming.

Minor trivia notes her ticklishness on her feet, sides, and belly, and her tendency to go barefoot at home or the restaurant, though she commonly wears white sneakers during work or outings.
