Description
Ladios Sopp functions as the adolescent alias and incognito identity of Amaterasu-no-Mikado, God-Emperor of Delta Belune. This disguise permits him to bypass imperial duties while hiding his true nature as a near-immortal physical god.

As Sopp, he adopts light brown hair and lightly tanned skin, a calculated shift from Amaterasu's natural platinum-haired albino appearance. His unearthly beauty persists through the disguise, often causing him to be mistaken for a woman and triggering complications. His cover as a mortar headd meister—a master engineer of giant combat robots—earns galactic renown, enabling interstellar travel and contracts with noble houses or military factions. This mobility allows covert interventions in conflict zones.

Personality-wise, Ladios Sopp displays an easy-going, playful demeanor with sharp humor, starkly opposing Amaterasu's emotionless detachment. This contrast hints at either a crafted persona or a suppressed facet of his true self. Key relationships drive his actions: his closest ally is Dr. Chrome Ballanche, the Joker Cluster's premier Fatima creator, sharing a bond termed a "Heterosexual Life-Partnership." He also forges a strong friendship with the headdliner Voards Viewlard, whose playful nature mirrors his own.

His engineering skill is exceptional, designing numerous mortar headds for the Amaterasu Kamui Dynasty (AKD), though credit goes to his Sopp identity, not his imperial status. Early in the timeline, he promised Fatima Lachesis (Ballanche’s 44th creation) a "Mortar Headd of gold," establishing a connection before her debut. A pivotal mission unfolds in J.C. 2988 on Addler’s Bastogne, where he rescues Lachesis and her sister Clotho from Duke Über (also called Juba Barbaim), who imprisoned them maliciously. During this operation, he meets Viewlard and aids Clotho’s escape with King Chorus of Juno.

After Amaterasu’s galactic unification, he deploys the Sopp identity more widely under a "King Incognito" strategy, temporarily transferring imperial power to his Fatima double, Upandla Raymu. In this phase, he supports resistance movements against his own empire, revealing intricate political maneuvering. The name "Ladios Sopp" is a linguistic reversal and corruption of "Oldna Poseidal," antagonist from *Heavy Metal L-Gaim*, serving as a deliberate homage.

Awareness of his dual identity is restricted to the Mirage Knights (his imperial guard), Float Temple administrators, and close friends like Ballanche, Viewlard, and Kaien. This secrecy persists throughout his operations. Later chronicles, notably around volume 14, record his role in a major military conflict where his contributions reversed a losing war into victory, solidifying his renown as an engineer and strategist.
