Description
Tsubame Kamoi, a former Air Self-Defense Force First Sergeant and F-2 fighter pilot, was forced to retire by an eye illness impairing her vision, leading her to wear a distinctive black eyepatch adorned with a rose. Her father's death in a car accident while buying her a childhood birthday gift profoundly shaped her outlook. Seeking employment dressing young girls after the military, she became a live-in housekeeper for eight-year-old Russian-Japanese Misha Takanashi. Tsubame's intense initial focus on Misha stemmed from her attraction to "fairy-like" pre-pubescent girls, though she respected Misha's expressed boundaries.

Exceptionally competent, Tsubame excelled at cooking, cleaning, sewing, and crafting elaborate doll-sized clothing sold online for substantial income. Military training gave her considerable physical strength, often causing accidental damage like broken doors. Her efforts to bond with Misha included joining the online game YONAOSHI GUILD under her late grandmother's name and organizing camping trips where she shared stories of her father's death. She also guided Misha and her classmates through personal issues, such as Misha's return to school after her mother's death or advising friend Mimika Washizaki on self-confidence.

Their relationship evolved from mutual antagonism to reluctant trust. Misha once tried firing Tsubame by hiring her former subordinate, Midori Ukai—who harbored masochistic feelings for Tsubame—but later regretted this and reinstated her after recognizing Tsubame's genuine care. Tsubame faced recurring challenges, including being arrested twice after intervening to protect Misha from a bear at a hot spring, highlighting her protective instincts. Her family included her mother, grandmother, and estranged older sister Kamome, who reconnected before departing for Russia to meet Misha's half-sister Albina.

Tsubame expressed a long-term commitment to remain Misha's housekeeper even after she grew up, stating a desire to eventually marry her. She showed moments of self-awareness, acknowledging the legal risks of her behavior during the hot spring incident while often justifying her actions as protective. Later manga storylines saw her interacting with Misha's biological father and half-sister, further integrating her into the family.

Her personality blended energetic enthusiasm with social obliviousness, creating comedic or uncomfortable situations, yet she offered mature advice during serious moments drawn from her experiences with loss and adaptation. She consistently avoided romantic interest in post-pubescent individuals, a trait since high school where she rejected peer confessions.
