Description
Captain Kanki Akuh commands the Martian Defense Forces battleship *Aoba* during the war against the alien "Gods." He previously survived the near-total destruction of his first command, the original *Aoba*, at the Battle of Eden Plateau. After two months of rehabilitation, he assumed command of a newly commissioned vessel at Achilles Springs base. This assignment presented as defensive operations but masked a covert offensive mission against the aliens.
Akuh demonstrates determined leadership, eager for active duty despite his trauma. He maintains professional command over key subordinates Commander Yutaka Todoroki and Second Lieutenant Takeshi Hijikata, both veterans of his previous command.
