Description
Kaori Miyashita is Aoi Mashiro's high school classmate. Her family operates a long-established draper shop in Kyoto. When Kaori's older sister, Saori Miyashita, is selected as Saio-Dai for the Aoi Festival, the substantial costs of the role's traditional preparations place the family under severe financial strain.

Fearing the burden this role imposes, Kaori pens a threatening letter demanding Saori decline the position. Later, Kaori reconciles with her sister, ultimately supporting Saori's acceptance of the Saio-Dai role. Despite their conflict, the sisters share a close bond.

Kaori possesses an enthusiastic personality, readily embracing new trends and fads. She has dark brown hair cut to neck length and distinctive violet eyes, typically seen in her high school uniform. Her name reflects her heritage: "Kaori" combines the characters for "fragrance" (香) and "weave" (織), while "Miyashita" (宮下), meaning "below the shrine," echoes Kyoto's temple-rich setting.
