Description
Alcides led the Argonauts, a terrorist group based within a self-propelled city-fortress. He was married to Deia Chades, a scientist from the maritime nation of Poseidon. Approximately twenty years before the main events, Poseidon launched a missile attack on the Argonauts' fortress after Deia, fueled by secret jealousy over a bioroid clone of her husband, betrayed its location. Alcides died shielding Deia from the attack.
Despite his confirmed death, Alcides' genetic material was used to create multiple bioroid clones. These clones became the focus of Deia's descent into guilt-fueled madness; consumed by her role in his death, she sought to destroy all bioroids carrying his genes, aiming to sabotage Olympus's Ark Project for preserving humanity under bioroid supervision.
The final bearer of Alcides' genes was an infant entrusted to Hitomi. Deia targeted this child to eradicate the last remnant of her husband's genetic legacy. Yet, at the critical moment, she halted her attack, achieving clarity before choosing self-immolation.
Alcides' existence and his proliferating clones also intensified broader conflicts, notably the Human Liberation Front's opposition to bioroid governance in Olympus. His reported return, though physically unconfirmed, symbolized a persistent threat that mobilized anti-bioroid factions and complicated the missions of E-S.W.A.T. operatives Deunan and Briareos.
