Description
Byrnndi World, captain of the World Pirates, initially sought freedom and adventure. His older brother Byojack inspired this wanderlust during their childhood, encouraging exploration despite his own chronic illness. As adults, they sailed together, formed a crew, and pursued their shared dream of oceanic discovery. In these early piracy years, World prized camaraderie and loyalty, especially towards his crew and brother.

World's actions later escalated into widespread destruction. He attacked World Nobles, Marines, civilians, and rival pirates, earning the epithet "Destroyer of the World." This infamy led the World Government to declare him a severe threat, placing a 500,000,000 berry bounty on his head and mobilizing the Seven Warlords, Marines, and Cipher Pol against him. Approximately 30 years ago, during a confrontation with this allied force, lower-ranked crew members betrayed World after Cipher Pol agents offered pardons. World executed the traitors but was overwhelmed and captured by Cipher Pol. His core crew—Byojack, Gairam, Sebastian, and Nightin—fled to survive. World perceived this as abandonment, an event that fundamentally warped his worldview.

Imprisoned in Level 6 of Impel Down, World was cryogenically frozen to prevent aging and escape. Decades later, he broke free during the mass escape instigated by Marshall D. Teach. Chronologically 78 years old but physically unchanged due to cryostasis, he reunited with his original crew. They had constructed a massive submarine ship during his absence. Consumed by bitterness over the betrayal, World now saw all crew members—including Byojack—as expendable tools for exacting revenge on the World Government. His personality turned ruthless and distrustful, marked by obsessive punctuality; he demanded strict adherence to timelines and punished failures harshly. He adopted the philosophy that "friends are just tools," openly mocking others who valued companionship.

World's primary goal shifted to annihilating Marineford and Mary Geoise using a colossal cannon integrated into his submarine. After attacking a World Noble transport ship and learning the Marines were deploying the Warlords against him, he targeted the nearest Warlord, Boa Hancock, invading Amazon Lily. He captured Hancock's sisters, Sandersonia and Marigold, to lure her into a trap, intending to use her as a hostage. During this confrontation, he easily overpowered Monkey D. Luffy, training on a nearby island, taunting him over his failure to save Portgas D. Ace.

Aboard his submarine in the ensuing battle, World repeatedly dominated Luffy using his abilities. When Admiral Sakazuki led a Marine fleet to destroy the ship, World abandoned Byojack, declaring him useless. This prompted Luffy to intervene, protecting Byojack and rallying to defeat World with an advanced Haki-infused Red Hawk attack. Critically wounded and cornered, World attempted a final act of vengeance by firing his enlarged cannon at the Marines. Dracule Mihawk nullified the attack, and World succumbed to his injuries. Byojack remained beside him as the submarine was destroyed, ending World's quest for revenge.

Physically, World was a tall, broad-shouldered man with large arms, thin legs, a green beard, and a lighter green W-shaped mustache. He wore a distinctive horned helmet, one horn broken to accommodate Byojack sitting on his shoulder, a sleeveless black-and-purple coat, green pants, and brown footwear.

His combat prowess was formidable. He wielded the Moa Moa no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit enabling him to amplify an object's size or speed up to 100 times its original state. He commonly enhanced projectiles like bullets or the submarine's island-destroying cannon. He also applied this power to his physical speed, combining it with Rokushiki techniques like Soru and Geppo for rapid movement. Additionally, he mastered Armament Haki, achieving full-body hardening akin to Vergo and advanced application to bypass Devil Fruit defenses. His combat style emphasized precision and overwhelming force, dominating opponents like the Gorgon Sisters and Luffy in their initial encounters.

His distinct laugh was "Barorororo."
