Description
Queen Malta, a celebrated East Doroan singer, dedicated her artistry to bridging the fractured realms of East and West Doroa through resonant calls for unity. Amid rising hostilities, she enlisted sharpshooter Daisuke Jigen as protection for her West Doroan tour, only for her manager to abruptly terminate his services days before her assassination. During a performance in enemy territory, a sniper’s bullet struck her mid-song—a tragedy Jigen observed helplessly from afar.

Her murder catalyzed a surge in cross-border animosity, with East Doroan authorities blaming West Doroa to legitimize impending warfare. The Calamity File, a classified record of state-sanctioned subterfuge, later unmasked her own government as the architects of her killing, engineered to fabricate a rallying cry for invasion while masquerading as aggrieved victims.

In conversations with Jigen, Malta voiced her conviction that melody could dissolve entrenched divisions, vowing to sing for adversaries despite peril. She alluded obliquely to dangers within her homeland, implying foresight of betrayal by those she sought to uplift. Her death haunted Jigen, embedding a restless guilt that sharpened his pursuit of her killer.

Though her slaying nearly ignited war, the File’s revelations dismantled East Doroa’s pretext, sparing both nations from conflict. Malta’s story endures as a testament to idealism weaponized by power, her silenced voice echoing through exposed lies to avert the bloodshed her killers craved.
