Description
Rin Eiyūzaki is a 17-year-old student in Class 2-F at Hatagaya School. She has knee-length black hair tied with a white ribbon at the bottom, featuring square bangs across her forehead and chest-length strands framing either side of her face, along with grey eyes. Her personality is responsible and strict, with a strong-minded determination to achieve goals like ensuring victory in the athletic festival. This discipline sometimes leads to embarrassment or frustration when expectations falter, particularly during her initial encounters with Souta Hatate.

Her background includes a significant childhood connection. She grew up alongside a male friend nicknamed "Souda," whom she considered her best and only male friend. After he moved away, they stayed in touch via email. Unaware, this childhood friend was Souta Hatate; she had worn a hat over her long hair during their youth, causing him to mistakenly remember her as a boy. They shared numerous activities, forging a deep bond she cherished.

A pivotal moment occurs during athletic festival preparations. Rin transfers to the dormitory at student council president Mimori Seiteikouji's request to train participants. While talking to Souta, Rin mentions her childhood friend "Souda," and Souta separately references knowing a boy named "Rin." When Rin emails "Souda," Souta's phone receives it, revealing their identities. This causes mutual shock over their changed appearances and demeanors. Rin nearly falls in distress, but Souta catches her, prompting her to break down apologizing for her prior strictness. Souta observes a "yandere flag" above her head. He reassures her their friendship remains, causing the flag to break. Afterwards, Rin exhibits a more girlish and flustered demeanor around Souta, frequently blushing and contrasting her earlier strictness. She also begins calling him by his given name instead of "Souda" due to his embarrassment over the nickname.

Her role in the athletic festival involves implementing rigorous training regimens for dormitory members, strategizing that the sixth day would be decisive. Though the team places second, their performance secures enough points to retain the dormitory. Post-revelation interactions show increased emotional vulnerability, especially when recalling childhood memories with Souta, indicating a shift toward embracing a softer aspect of her identity while maintaining her core resolve.
