Description
Oresky serves as one of the three primary generals of the Phantom Empire, operating under Queen Mirage and Deep Mirror. He leads a group he calls the "Oresky Trio," consisting of fellow generals Namakelder and Hosshiwa, adopting a self-styled leadership role. His name blends the Japanese informal masculine pronoun "Ore" with "suki" (like), reflecting his self-centered nature.
Before joining the Phantom Empire, Oresky worked as a police officer, a career he resumes after purification. His villainy stems from profound insecurity; he aggressively targets anyone threatening his self-proclaimed status as "number one," believing that without this title, he is worthless. This manifests in childish competitiveness, even challenging children to maintain superiority. Despite his overbearing demeanor, he remains oblivious to Namakelder and Hosshiwa ridiculing him behind his back, though they obey his commands. Oresky often provides comic relief through exaggerated self-importance, though his final battle displays uncharacteristic seriousness.
Oresky possesses significant physical strength and fires dark energy blasts. His primary ability involves creating Saiarks by trapping humans in mirrors, requiring him to remove a medal from his uniform. The Saiarks he generates feature yellow scarves and transform environments into barren wastelands with dark clouds.
His character develops through repeated confrontations with the HappinessCharge Pretty Cure team. During one engagement, the near-activation of the Shining Make Dresser almost purifies him and his trio until Deep Mirror intervenes. Later, after Queen Mirage dismisses the trio's usefulness, Oresky attacks a Halloween festival to prove his value. Cure Lovely challenges his worldview there, and while the Happiness Big Bang begins to purify him, Cure Tender interrupts the process. In the Phantom Empire's final arc, battling Cure Fortune, Oresky is overpowered when she assumes her Innocent Form. Her "Emerald Illusion" attack purifies him, allowing him to realize his self-worth isn't tied to being the best.
Post-purification, Oresky returns to being a police officer, adopting a more helpful demeanor and aiming to be "number one" in community service, though lazy and self-centered traits linger. His purified appearance features brown hair and eyes, contrasting with his villainous grey hair and maroon eyes. He shares a birthday, October 12, with Cure Lovely.
