After losing one or both parents, he inherited his father’s saber, Lancelot, and joined Wizard Brace to combat the Ghost Trailers. His life fractured when captured and brainwashed by the enemy, his memories rewritten to erase his past and loyalty.

Under Ghost Trailer control, Tsuganashi adopted an emotionless, ruthless persona, attacking former allies without remorse. Manipulated to perceive Mui as a foe, he clashed violently with her, nearly ending her life. Though allied with Ghost Trailer operatives Hotaru Kumagai, Takao Oigami, and Ushiwaka, these partnerships remained hollow. Channeling ice magic through Lancelot and his Aspect, he unleashed destructive spells like Wire Blizzard, Icy Castle, and Invisible Disc.

His redemption came during a hostage exchange, where Mui, Takeshi Nanase, and Kazumi Ida confronted him. A magic-sealing bullet reversed the brainwashing, restoring his memories and gentler nature. Reunited with Wizard Brace, he prioritized Mui’s safety, clashing with ex-lover Ena Kisaki over her false insinuations about Mui and Takeshi. Though his loyalty realigned against the Ghost Trailers, his teasing dynamic with Mui endured.

Post-recovery, his magic diversified to include Diamond Seeder, Stub Robin, Death Cube, and the enhancement spell Drive, all channeled through his Aspect and Lancelot. Residual friction with Takeshi lingered due to Mui’s affections, yet mutual respect emerged. His past romance with Ena complicated tensions, particularly with Mui’s disapproval. Active in pivotal battles, he defended Wizard Brace’s interests, striving to avert the Second Great Magic War. Reclaiming his identity shifted him from adversary to ally, anchoring his journey in the reconciliation of family bonds and self-rediscovery.
