Nozomi Takamagahara is the class representative and a member of the school's Occult Research Club. She has brown hair that falls to her shoulders, distinct blue eyes, and regularly wears large-framed glasses. Her standard attire is the school uniform: a green blazer, a white undershirt, and a black plaid skirt.

She exhibits extreme intuitiveness and capability, immediately deducing a connection between Sōya Kuroi and the arrival of mysterious spaceships. She is deeply caring and sympathetic toward the feelings of others, which leads her to keep Sōya's secrets. Her kindness was clear when she reached out to Sōya, a new transfer student with amnesia, and began speaking with him regularly. She maintains a known interest in ghosts and all things supernatural.

In one significant event, she quickly determined Sōya's involvement in robot battles and accurately guessed parts of his backstory from his unusual behavior. When Sōya attempted to flee the confrontation, she football tackled him to stop his escape, shouted that he could trust her, and refused to let him go. This direct action convinced Sōya to explain his situation, and she vowed to keep his secret. She is also immune to mind control, as hypnosis powers have no effect on her for unexplained reasons.
