Their intrusion unwittingly triggered the awakening of Protodeviln entities imprisoned on the planet.

Targeted as a high-ranking officer during the ensuing chaos, Autolmauer had his vital Spiritia life-energy drained. He became a host body for the Protodeviln Gigile, resulting in his complete transformation. As Gigile, he directed Spiritia-harvesting infiltration missions against the Macross 7 fleet from his Large Battleship and piloted a Fz-109F Elgersoln variable fighter. Following his possession, Autolmauer's original identity ceased to exist.
