Niina is a supernatural jimunaa spirit born from a Chinese banyan tree in Okinawa. She appears childlike with pink hair, blue eyes, pointy ears, and rosy cheeks. Alongside the spirits Raana and Iina, she was unleashed when a seal on the tree fell off—an event witnessed by Nanafa Kyan. Niina’s presence contributes to changes in the daily life of the Kyan family, who run the Kame Soba shop.
