Description
Kokona Kyan, the youngest of three sisters, lives in Okinawa with her grandmother and siblings, helping manage their family’s soba shop. A brown-haired, brown-eyed fourth-grader born on April 8th, she harbors a unique gift: the ability to detect supernatural entities, from spirits to ghosts. This skill lets her perceive her late grandfather’s lingering presence, unseen by most of her family. When a seal on a nearby banyan tree shatters, she encounters mischievous tree spirits Niina and Raana and the lion spirit Iina. Though initially struggling to navigate their unpredictable antics—disrupting school events or playfully haunting the shop—she gradually befriends them, weaving their presence into her everyday routines. Kokona’s lively, enthusiastic nature drives her to embrace these extraordinary encounters, balancing her ordinary school life with spirited adventures, adapting to both the whims of her supernatural companions and the rhythms of her family’s bustling world.
