TV Special
Description
Aoi Shindō is a Japanese high school student distinguished by her brown hair and green eyes. She shares a deep, longstanding childhood friendship with Haruki Yokokawa, marked by a dynamic where her admiration for him coexists with moments where she scolds him, especially for perceived insensitivity. This pattern emerges when Haruki informs Aoi that her close friend, Shiori Hishida, confessed romantic feelings for him. Aoi reacts strongly, criticizing Haruki for sharing Shiori's private information without consideration.
Beneath her outward assertiveness lie deeper emotional complexities concerning her bond with Haruki. While she initially denies any romantic involvement with him to others, including Shiori, this denial inadvertently prompts Shiori's confession to Haruki. Aoi's frustration over Haruki's handling of the situation stems partly from an unacknowledged fear of losing him. Unspoken romantic feelings for Haruki complicate their relationship; she fears expressing them might damage their existing friendship.
A pivotal moment unfolds during a school trip to Gokayama. Following an awkward period after Haruki confesses his own romantic feelings to her, Aoi is overheard expressing her true feelings about him. In response, Haruki sings a traditional song in the style of local farmers. This act deeply embarrasses Aoi but also reassures her, resolving the tension between them and bringing her internal conflict to a peaceful resolution.
