Kyōji Itan serves as an antagonist who pilots the LBX Gruxeon. He is a member of the group World Saber and operates under the command of Seredy Kreisler. During a critical battle, Seredy Kreisler's Phantom discards Itan's Gruxeon after it fails to defeat Arata Sena and Dot Blastrizer. In the anime, World Saber is captured by the headmaster and forced to leave the island, though Itan escapes. A submarine later appears to rescue the group, and Seredy Kreisler is shown laughing. A divergence occurs between the anime and game portrayals. In the game, Itan does not become LOST. Following the defeats of D Ezeldee and Gruxeon, he retreats instead of being captured or transformed. Additionally, only Arata Sena and the WARS protagonist confront Seredy Kreisler and Itan in the game.
