Isora Daiba, called Ezra in English releases, holds the rank of admiral within the Gaia Sanction government. He is the elder brother of Yama Daiba (Logan). A childhood accident left Isora paralyzed and critically injured Nami, a woman both brothers loved, profoundly shaping his motivations and fueling his blame towards Yama for the event. Isora exploits Yama's guilt over the accident, recruiting him to infiltrate the Arcadia and assassinate Captain Harlock. His ruthless tactics include authorizing the deployment of the Jovian Accelerator, a superweapon designed to destroy Jupiter and target Harlock's vessel. After Yama defects to Harlock's crew, Isora personally pursues the Arcadia. Their confrontations reveal Harlock's plan to annihilate and recreate the universe using dark matter. Nami's deliberate act of disabling her own life support, confessing her love for Isora and seeking to end his suffering, deeply impacts him. Her death causes Isora to reassess his path. During the Gaia Sanction's final assault, employing a particle cannon aimed at the Arcadia near Earth, Isora recognizes the imminent threat to the planet. He sacrifices himself by ramming his flagship into the Arcadia, forcing it away from Earth and preventing mutual destruction. Mortally wounded by Harlock in the battle, Isora explains his protective action: he knew Nami and his mother cherished Earth's natural beauty, especially its flowers. His final act signifies a shift from vengeance to protecting what they held dear.
