Description
Suigintou, the first Rozen Maiden doll crafted by Rozen, has varying origin tales. In the manga, she emerged within the N-Field's realm of discarded doll parts, naming it "Ginka" and treating it like a sister. The Nomad anime depicts Rozen abandoning her incomplete form on a workshop shelf; her overwhelming will to live allowed self-animation without a Rosa Mystica and drove her search for her creator.

She possesses silver-white hair, red eyes (manga) or pink eyes (Nomad anime), and a Gothic Lolita-style black and white dress adorned with rosettes. Her most striking feature is the pair of black feather wings extending from her back, often appearing as cracked porcelain. The Nomad anime adds a dark blue headband and dress accents.

Her personality blends arrogance, sadism, and fierce independence, fueled by an obsessive craving for Rozen's approval and victory in the Alice Game—a contest where dolls collect each other's life-force gems (Rosa Mystica) to become the perfect "Alice". She holds deep enmity for the fifth doll, Shinku, stemming from an early conflict. Their initial friendship, shown in "Ouvertüre", shattered when Shinku expressed pity for Suigintou's incomplete state, prompting Suigintou to destroy a brooch Shinku treasured, cementing their rivalry.

A pivotal shift occurs when Suigintou contracts with Megu Kakizaki, a terminally ill girl confined to a hospital. Though Megu initially perceives Suigintou as a "dark angel" signifying death, she becomes the first person Suigintou genuinely cares about beyond Rozen. Suigintou's motivation evolves from winning the Alice Game to using collected Rosa Mysticas to cure Megu's heart condition, promising they would "die together". This protective bond shapes her later actions.

In combat, Suigintou manipulates her feathers as projectiles or shields and wields blue flames through pyrokinesis. After absorbing Souseiseki's Rosa Mystica, she temporarily commands Gardener Shears. She demonstrates notable resilience as the only Rozen Maiden resurrected multiple times by Rozen outside the Alice Game rules.

In "Zurückspulen"—adapting the manga's "unwound world" timeline where dolls initially don't exist—Suigintou manifests later due to disruptions by the seventh doll, Kirakishou. Her core traits endure: loyalty to Rozen, antagonism toward Shinku, and devotion to Megu. Her role here is less central, focusing on protecting Megu amidst dimensional instability.

Her development culminates in self-sacrifice. In "Träumend," she allies with the artificial doll Barasuishou against Shinku but suffers betrayal and a fatal wound. With her final words, she apologizes to Megu for failing her. The manga depicts her survival and shift from antagonist to reluctant ally, participating in collective efforts to defeat Kirakishou and support Shinku’s ascension as Alice.
