Description
Suigintou emerged as the first doll crafted by the legendary Rozen. Left incomplete and lacking a Rosa Mystica, her overwhelming desire for Rozen's affection granted her independent life. This defiance resulted in physical imperfections: a cracked back from emerging wing structures in the manga, while the anime depicted her as missing her entire torso. Pure willpower enabled her movement despite these flaws.

Early experiences profoundly shaped her. Abandoned by Rozen, she dwelled amidst discarded doll remnants in the N-field, naming the pile "Ginka" and viewing it as a sister. Later, within the Miniature Garden, she developed aloof and antagonistic traits, particularly towards the fifth doll, Shinku. Their initial appearance of friendship shattered when Suigintou realized Shinku pitied her rather than acknowledged her as an equal Rozen Maiden. This bitterness crystallized when Shinku called her "junk" after Rozen granted her a Rosa Mystica, forging Suigintou's lasting rivalry. The Alice Game, introduced by Laplace's Demon, offered a conduit for her ambition to become the perfect doll, "Alice," and win Rozen's love.

Her path transforms dramatically upon meeting Megu Kakizaki, a terminally ill girl with a heart condition. Despite initial disdain for humans and reluctance to form a medium contract, Suigintou forges an unexpected, deep bond with Megu. Their shared sense of incompleteness—Megu's failing heart and Suigintou's physical flaws—fostered profound mutual understanding. Suigintou's primary drive shifts from winning the Alice Game for Rozen's approval to collecting Rosa Mysticas solely to cure Megu. This devotion consumes her, prioritizing Megu's survival above meeting Rozen.

In combat, Suigintou wields black feather wings for offense and defense, unfurling them into projectiles, shields, swords, or dragon constructs. She also commands destructive blue flames. Briefly, after absorbing Souseiseki's Rosa Mystica, she gained control over gardening shears. Her fighting style is strategically ruthless.

Her design features silver-white hair and red eyes with slit pupils. She wears a Gothic black-and-white dress adorned with rosettes and ribbons. The 2013 adaptation "Zurückspulen" updated her palette, replacing dark blue accents with black while retaining the manga's red eyes. Her cracked back, housing her wings, remains a constant.

Suigintou experiences multiple resurrections, often implied to be Rozen's doing. In her final moments, she expresses regret for failing Megu. Her journey reflects themes of seeking validation, the deep impact of rejection, and the transformative power of genuine care eclipsing initial vengeful pursuits.
