TV Special
Description
Nao Hatori, a student, owns a miniature dachshund named Chocotan. She develops romantic feelings for a classmate, Yamato Arima, who attends the same school but is in a different class. Hoping to encounter him regularly outside of school, she establishes a routine of walking Chocotan in the same park where Arima walks his dog, Happy.

Despite her consistent efforts, Nao experiences significant insecurity about Arima's potential interest in her. This insecurity peaks when she observes two female classmates from Arima's class approach and converse with him in the park. Feeling overlooked and unimportant, she mistakenly believes Arima does not notice or value her presence.

Her uncertainty and shyness manifest directly. For Happy's birthday, she prepares biscuits edible for both humans and dogs. Yet when she and Chocotan unexpectedly meet Arima and Happy on the street, nervousness overwhelms her. Unable to summon the courage to present the biscuits or speak casually, she runs away. Chocotan, capable of human speech, offers encouragement and support, motivating Nao to resolve to try delivering the biscuits again.

Ultimately, Nao's perception of being overlooked by Arima is incorrect. Unbeknownst to her during her doubts, Arima actively attempts to find her during his daily walks, mirroring her own desire for park encounters. Her resolve to overcome her hesitation and approach him marks a key moment in her brief story.
