Hyou is a supporting character with long lavender hair tied into high bunches secured by large black bows, reaching down to her waist. She possesses orange eyes and a notably short stature. Her attire features a multi-colored orange and blue bow fastening her kimono over a dark undershirt.

She exhibits a friendly and cheerful personality but is notably creeped out by graveyards.

Involved in key Bakumatsu Crisis events, Hyou discovers a secret entrance in a prison cell ceiling with Kasumi in Episode 1, freeing the imprisoned Shinsaku and Kogoro from execution. After their escape, she meets Susumu and flees to Yoshinobu's house. While the group discusses the Chronometer's effects, she prepares food with Kasumi.

During Episode 2, Hyou walks through a forest with Kasumi, conversing about dried herring, before encountering ghostly fire. When the Chronometer causes a burning temple to manifest through a rift, igniting widespread fires in Kyoto, she helps evacuate citizens.

In Episode 3, she is seen fishing with Seimei and Kasumi when another Chronometer detection occurs.
