TV-Series
Description
Alexa, a journalist from Lumiose City in Kalos, travels extensively to document Pokémon habitats and global events. She is the older sister of Santalune City Gym Leader Viola. Her appearance features fair skin, dark green eyes, and light brown hair with distinctive curly tufts. She typically wears a fitted black and red shirt with a white collar and medium-length sleeves featuring white cuffs, gray skinny jeans, a large brown and silver belt, and long brown boots with gray buckles. Yellow earrings, red-painted nails, and a journalist headset with a microphone and camera complete her look. She stores her Poké Balls in a waist-mounted fanny pack.

Professionally dedicated yet approachable, Alexa combines sociability and maturity, often working late to perfect her articles. She exhibits occasional forgetfulness, like misplacing her computer, relying on her Gogoat to find it. Principled in her work, she deletes valuable footage to protect Pokémon habitats from disruption and shows kindness and encouragement, particularly to Ash and his friends during their travels.

Her background includes extensive travel with her first Pokémon, Gogoat, a partnership forged when it helped retrieve her stolen camera and scale a cliff, cementing her commitment to global documentation. Collaborative work with Viola resulted in a gallery at Santalune Gym showcasing their joint research. Her journalistic focus captures rare Pokémon behaviors and cultural events, such as Unova’s Grand Harvest Festival.

During the Unova saga, Alexa encountered Ash, Iris, and Cilan on Harvest Island, joining their adventures. She covered a Pokémon Sumo Tournament, explored a deserted island uncovering pirate treasure while prioritizing local Pokémon safety over her story, documented a Shiny Druddigon on Cave Island, and investigated celestial phenomena tied to the "Hero’s Comet" legend. Her Noivern repelled Team Rocket during these events. She revealed her Kalos origins and familial ties to Viola, influencing Ash’s decision to travel there.

Her Pokémon team assists her reporting: Helioptile, a shy Electric-type that hides behind her but charges her equipment; Gogoat, her primary travel companion navigating terrain; and Noivern, deployed strategically in battles against threats like Team Rocket using Dragon Pulse or Boomburst. These Pokémon also help with tasks like setting up cameras or carrying gear.

After Unova, Alexa accompanied Ash to Kanto, introducing him to Professor Oak before traveling together to Kalos. She directed him to Santalune Gym for his first Kalos badge and periodically aided his journey, training him for his Gym rematch against Viola and assisting against Team Rocket schemes. Her later activities include investigating ruins with Professor Sycamore and observing Ash’s battles in global tournaments.
