Nukko serves as the protagonist in the anime "Nukko." This adolescent school story revolves around Nukko and their slightly oddball friends. The anime comprises 24 television shorts, each approximately 5 minutes long, which aired from April 2, 2012, to September 19, 2012.

Originally, Nukko was created as a mascot guide for the television program "SKE48 no Sekai Seifuku Joshi," featuring the idol group SKE48. Manga creator Maya Miyazaki designed the character. The animated shorts featuring Nukko were developed by Motoichi Adachi and directed by Takeshi Onaka.
