Description
Granite is a male white lion Jewelpet distinguished by white fur, a gray mane and tail, and blue inner ears. His Jewel Eyes are navy blue granite rocks, and he wears a light blue pearl necklace featuring a pentagram-shaped granite accessory. Known for his gentle, easy-going nature and fondness for spending time in trees, he exhibits perfectionism without notable weaknesses. As the Jewelpet of Security, his magic instills a sense of safety in humans, granting them courage and motivation to act on their plans.

Debuting in the *Jewelpet Sunshine* finale, Granite emerged as the reincarnated form of Mikage Shiraishi, allowing him to unite with Ruby and marking him as the first Jewelpet linked to another character's rebirth; subsequent series omitted this origin to maintain his pure Jewelpet status. In *Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!*, his personality complements his girlfriend Ruby's hyperactive nature, though his limited appearances leave this aspect less defined. Specific appearances include being Ruby's date at Garnet's ball (episode 24), residing near Jewel Town, appearing as a prince in Ruby's dream (episode 40), featuring as an Ace of hearts card (episode 33), and appearing as a city guard in his Yami Quest persona (episode 47).

His roles extend to other series: he crash-lands near Jewel Academy as a space traveler during the Red Moon crisis in *Jewelpet Happiness* (episode 48), and works as a fortune teller detecting anomalies in Lillian and warning Miura of impending disaster in *Lady Jewelpet* (episode 40).

*Jewelpet Magical Change* features significant character development. A magical illness from a poisonous plant in episode 25 splits his personality, transforming the normally calm and adept Granite into a flirtatious romantic obsessed with love. This storyline reveals his past rivalry with Ruby, including competitions like a noodle-eating contest. His human form—silver-haired, blue-eyed, and dressed in teal and dark blue formal attire—emerges when saving Ruby from a cliff fall. Cured by a rare flower, he departs for another contest with Ruby, though his illness resurfaces in episode 32a.

Throughout the franchise, Granite serves as Ruby's primary love interest (succeeding Tour) and is one of only two male Jewelpets belonging to the Magical Black class to attain human form in *Magical Change*.
