Description
Okinu, the teenage daughter of tavern owner and Five Leaves member Umezou, serves as both waitress and cook in her family’s establishment, a regular meeting spot for the group. Her father’s affiliation with the organization traces back to her workplace sexual harassment, an event that spurred his vengeful ambitions and indirectly catalyzed the Five Leaves’ creation. Though Umezou initially sought lethal retribution, he was convinced to adopt kidnapping as their method.

Aware of her father’s crimes, Okinu romanticizes the Five Leaves as righteous enforcers targeting the morally corrupt—a belief partially rooted in truth, as the group occasionally pursues unethical figures, though their true motives intertwine personal grievances with broader vendettas. Umezou’s protectiveness borders on hypervigilance, his reactions to perceived threats toward her often intense.

Okinu’s grasp of the group’s operations remains fragmented, filtered through her father’s efforts to obscure their more brutal realities. Yet she accepts their actions with pragmatic resolve, her trust in both Umezou and the Five Leaves’ collective judgment remaining unshaken.
