Description
Genius Sage, also known as Genis Sage, is a half-elf from the town of Iselia. He and his older sister Raine once concealed their half-elf heritage, claiming to be full elves to avoid the widespread prejudice in their community.

A child prodigy, Genius exhibited exceptional intelligence and a strong affinity for magic from an early age. He attended school in Iselia, where he became close friends with Lloyd Irving and Colette Brunel. Despite their academic differences, the three shared a deep bond. Genius admired Lloyd’s bravery and physical strength, traits he felt he lacked, and sometimes teased Lloyd over his struggles in school.

He often made unauthorized visits to the Iselia Human Ranch, befriending an elderly woman named Marble. During one such visit, he and Lloyd witnessed Marble being whipped by Desian guards. Genius used his magic as Lloyd fought, and together they accidentally killed the guards. The next day, the Desians attacked Iselia in retaliation. The village mayor exiled Lloyd, and Genius, feeling responsible, left home to join him on his journey.

He wore an Exsphere that had belonged to Marble on his right hand, both as a keepsake and to amplify his magical abilities for the trials ahead.

During the journey of world regeneration, Genius traveled alongside Colette and her guardians, including his sister Raine and the mercenary Kratos. The group eventually reached Tethe’alla, a world parallel to Sylvarant. Genius was fascinated by its advanced technology but also confronted by severe discrimination against half-elves, which ignited a powerful anger and hatred toward humans.

In Tethe’alla, he quickly grew fond of Presea Combatir and developed an instant dislike for the local Chosen, Zelos Wilder. Faced with relentless prejudice, he wrestled with intense negativity but recognized that answering hatred with hatred would only continue the cycle of violence. He held onto the hope that regenerating the world would bring about a society free from racial bias.

He formed a pivotal friendship with Mithos, another half-elf. The two shared many similarities—high intelligence, being raised by their sisters, and enduring persecution. Their bond illustrated a critical divergence: where Mithos sought to destroy the world that had harmed him, Genius chose forgiveness and worked toward a better future.

After the events of the world regeneration, Genius took part in further adventures. Two years later, he had grown taller but remained concerned for Lloyd. He collaborated with his sister to find Lloyd and allied with new companions such as Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi. Though he formed new friendships, he was disheartened by their initial hostility toward Lloyd.

His feelings for Presea endured, hinted when romantic situations stirred a moment of remembrance. He displayed continued maturity and a sense of responsibility, offering guidance and support to younger members of the group while reflecting on how past events had shaped the world.
