Description
Dionysius features in the "Run, Melos!" adaptation segment as a minor character, the story's tyrannical king. Deeply suspicious and distrustful, especially of the protagonist Melos, Dionysius sentences Melos to death. He agrees to delay the execution only after Melos provides a replacement hostage, resulting in the imprisonment of Melos' friend Selinentius. Dionysius remains convinced Melos would betray his friend and fail to return before the execution deadline. Portrayed as an adult historical figure of royal status, Dionysius possesses facial hair. His role is confined to this specific narrative arc.
