TV-Series
Description
Rufus Schönberg is the grandfather of the Mikogami sisters and husband to Marianne Schönberg, an Animalian. He was instrumental in events preceding the series, most notably in the selection of Mr. Hatori as husband for his daughter Misa, also known as Michelle. This choice led to severe consequences, for which Rufus carries a heavy burden of guilt and responsibility, convinced it initiated a tragic chain of events.
For a long time, Rufus lived disguised as a turtle, operating under the alias Doctor. In this form, he served as a guide and informant for the main characters. He once attempted to aid Tamao Kijima’s transformation by leading him to a video containing the Kirumins’ secrets, though the effort was cut short by the camera’s dying battery before the recording finished.
After many years, Rufus finally returns to his human form in the series’ final scene. His human appearance is marked by a towering and imposing stature, which stands in stark contrast to his polite and gentle demeanor.
With the central conflict resolved, he chooses to return to his homeland of Vladonia alongside his daughter Misa and granddaughter Kanon to confront and discuss matters with Mr. Hatori.
