Description
Enrique Bishile began as a young man consumed by despair, longing to laugh yet unable to do so. This condition attracted Ganbanzel of the True Men, who recruited Enrique with the promise that becoming a monster would grant him the ability to smile. Enrique underwent grueling training on a remote island, confronting the harsh truth that following Ganbanzel's path, even to murder, would not yield the laughter he craved.

A pivotal change occurred when the Book Eater Zatoh Rondohoon consumed the book containing Enrique's soul and memories. Defying the typical outcome, Enrique's consciousness overwhelmed Zatoh's, allowing him to seize control of Zatoh's body permanently. Assuming Zatoh's identity, Enrique then joined the Armed Librarians at Bantorra Library, where his role became marked by strategic contributions and unexpected maneuvers in the organization's conflicts.

His character deepened significantly through his relationship with fellow Librarian Noloty Malche. Enrique cultivated an unwavering devotion to her, defined by selfless protectiveness. He prioritized her safety and well-being above all else, explicitly stating he expected no romantic reciprocation or shared future. His sole desire was for her survival and independence as a fighter. He envisioned eventually leaving the library to live elsewhere, content with merely receiving occasional news of her life.

Noloty's death crushed Enrique's spirit, extinguishing his motivations and leaving him adrift. He articulated this desolation: "What I have to do no longer matters... Shindeki Church is not worth hating." Haunted by grief, he visited locations tied to her memories to mourn alone. He later framed his participation in the final battle against Bantorra Library's director, Ruruta Coozancoona, as a tribute to Noloty, declaring: "Noloty, as someone who lives in your world, I will go and fight. To destroy the culprit of all those: the heaven, and devote this world to you." This mission drove him to confront Ruruta directly.

Enrique's resilience emerged again during the internal battle within Ruruta's consciousness. Alongside other absorbed individuals, he fiercely resisted Ruruta's influence, actively contributing to the effort to dismantle the library's oppressive system.
