Description
Niren Fedrok commanded the Imperial Knights' Niren Brigade from the town of Ceazontania. His unit included Yuri Lowell, Flynn Scifo, and the twin sisters Hisca and Chastel Aiheap. His duties focused on protecting the region, especially against monstrous creatures empowered by abnormal aer emissions.

A strict adherence to military regulations, which he later blamed for the deaths of his wife and daughter, marked his background. He carried lasting regret, believing defying orders might have saved them, fundamentally shaping his perspective on balancing rules with personal duty.

He possessed the authority of a commanding officer coupled with the approachability of a friendly middle-aged man. Demonstrating leniency in disciplinary matters, he fostered an open rapport with his subordinates, who saw him as a father figure. He relaxed by smoking his pipe. Despite this approachability, he remained deeply committed to his duty and willing to risk his life to protect others.

When crisis struck Ceazontania, Niren prioritized the town's safety over protocol. Summoned to the capital Zaphias by Commandant Alexei Dinoia, he sent Flynn Scifo in his place to request reinforcements. He personally sought out blastia expert Rita Mordio, securing a device to normalize the aer. Learning reinforcements were delayed, he disobeyed orders to investigate the aer's source: a fortress containing an experimental blastia built by his strategist, Garista Luodur.

Inside the collapsing fortress, Niren activated Rita's device, halting the aer flow but triggering a destructive backlash. While rescuing Chastel Aiheap from falling debris, he sustained a critical injury. Trapped in a sinkhole with rising aer, he entrusted his blastia to Yuri Lowell as a keepsake and ordered the group to leave him behind. He perished in the ruins. His death deeply impacted the brigade and Ceazontania's residents, who held a funeral in his honor.

His legacy influenced Yuri and Flynn's subsequent actions. The blastia he gave Yuri proved instrumental in defeating Garista, who admitted causing the disaster. Yuri later left the knights, keeping the blastia and adopting Niren's wardog, Repede, who carried Niren's pipe. Flynn reconciled with Yuri over Niren's choice to defy orders, recognizing it mirrored the sacrifice of Flynn's own father to protect lives.
