Description
Lordgenome, first known as the Spiral King, ruled Earth from his fortress Teppelin. He enforced humanity's underground confinement, believing overpopulation would trigger the Anti-Spiral's Humanity Annihilation System. This tyranny originated from his past as a Spiral Warrior who once led humanity against the Anti-Spirals in a vast interstellar war. Discovering the Spiral Nemesis prophecy – a universe-ending catastrophe fueled by unchecked Spiral Power – shattered Lordgenome spiritually. He betrayed his comrades, eliminated dissenters, and struck a compromise with the Anti-Spirals to suppress humanity.

To maintain his regime, Lordgenome created the Beastmen, sterile hybrids devoid of Spiral Power, forming the Human Eradication Army. He also established the Beauty Village, selecting genetically compatible girls to bear children he executed preemptively, fearing their potential as Anti-Spiral conduits. One child, Nia, survived and later became central to Anti-Spiral plans. During Simon's assault on Teppelin, Lordgenome battled fiercely in his Gunmen Lazengann. Simon ultimately inflicted a fatal wound using the Core Drill. With his dying breath, Lordgenome warned that exceeding one million humans would activate the Anti-Spiral's moon-collision countermeasure.

Seven years later, Rossiu recovered Lordgenome's brain, regrowing it into a biocomputer to access his memories. This resurrected form provided critical intelligence on the Anti-Spirals and powered the Arc-Gurren during Kamina City's defense. Within the multiversal labyrinth, Lordgenome aided Team Dai-Gurren's escape and later fought in the final battle against the Anti-Spiral. He sacrificed himself, converting the Anti-Spiral's "Infinity Big Bang Storm" attack into a spiral energy drill for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, enabling Simon's victory. Before his quantum disintegration, Lordgenome expressed paternal pride to Nia, acknowledging her resilience despite their fraught history.

The film adaptation depicts Lordgenome's early life, showing his initial idealism as a Spiral Warrior and subsequent disillusionment upon encountering the Spiral Nemesis prophecy. This frames his pragmatic tyranny as a perverse form of guardianship, believing humanity's suppression was essential for survival. His character arc concludes with redemption through self-sacrifice, symbolizing the reconciliation of his former heroism with his later despair.
