Boota's latent Spiral Power emerges significantly during the Anti-Spiral conflict. He temporarily powers the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren when Simon is exhausted. Assimilating Lordgenome's released Spiral Energy aboard the ship intensifies his power, triggering an evolutionary transformation into a humanoid form.
