Description
Yuuhi Katagiri is a teenage girl known for her striking grey hair, blue eyes, and petite 153 cm stature, which often draws unwanted attention and harassment. She treasures a hair clip from her deceased mother as a keepsake. Her father, Take Katagiri, arranged her engagement to Jun'ichi Nagase without her initial consent.
She first meets Jun'ichi when he rescues her from harassers; she later transfers to his school hoping to find her unnamed fiancé in the area. A misunderstanding leads to Jun'ichi kissing her publicly, causing deep embarrassment and sparking her initial hostility toward him. Upon discovering their arranged engagement, she moves into his household with his sister Minato for a one-month trial period to assess their compatibility, intending to prove Jun'ichi unworthy.
Her personality blends sharp-tongued tsundere tendencies with underlying kindness and vulnerability. She frequently reacts to Jun'ichi with violent outbursts and physical threats, yet gradually develops genuine affection for him, often displaying jealousy during his interactions with other girls. Her wealthy upbringing leaves her initially naive about everyday tasks like household chores, which she approaches with childlike curiosity.
Throughout the series, her relationship with Jun'ichi evolves from resentment to mutual romantic interest, highlighted during school events like the cultural festival where she participates in a maid outfit despite reservations. The manga adaptation sees them become a couple. In the special episode, her jealousy resurfaces during a beach trip when other girls flirt with Jun'ichi, reinforcing her possessive yet caring dynamic with him. She forms close friendships, notably with Minato and Karen Ayanokouji, who nicknames her "Hime" referencing her affluent background.
