Following a significant organizational shift around episode 10, Lizzie is reassigned as partner to Zwei, the new Phantom assassin. She develops genuine fondness for Zwei and aids him in retrieving Cal Devens from hostile territory. After Zwei defects, Lizzie is partnered with Drei, later revealed as Cal Devens. Lizzie's story culminates in Japan when Cal kidnaps Mio Fujisaki. Confronting Cal, they engage in their signature pocket watch game. Unable to shoot someone connected so deeply to both herself and Zwei, Lizzie hesitates. This refusal to fire allows Cal to shoot Lizzie fatally.
