Description
Yukine Mare serves as the personal attendant to Maria Nanadan, princess of Havoniwa. She maintains a quiet and shy exterior, effectively concealing her considerable talent and skill. Her duties extend beyond typical service, functioning as Maria's primary intelligence operative; she gathers crucial information, including identifying Kenshi Masaki as the Seikijin pilot behind the assassination attempt on Lashara Earth XXVIII.

She hails from a clan dedicated to protecting a mountain temple sacred to the Chousin deities. Her mother held a high rank within the temple but disappeared after wandering away due to forgetfulness and poor directional sense. Kenshi Masaki later compressed the entire mountain into the Tenchi-ken sword, an act that shocked the village elder but demonstrated Yukine's trust in Kenshi.

Yukine inherited her Seikijin and flight suits from Flora Nanadan. Her Sacred Mechanoid exhibits light colors, moth-like antennae, and a mane. It is armed with a railgun for combat and equipped with jets enabling supersonic speeds. The flight suits incorporate moth and butterfly motifs; their skintight, revealing design initially causes her discomfort, though she focuses on her tasks once engaged.

A clear mutual attraction exists between Yukine and Kenshi, frequently evident through their blushing proximity. Kenshi displays greater bashfulness around her compared to other women, suggesting stronger feelings, and he does not deny liking her when questioned directly. Others occasionally mistake them for a couple, further indicating their connection.

Beyond intelligence gathering, Yukine demonstrates expert combat ability. She wields a khanda-like sword during an attack on a resort and pilots her Seikijin effectively, utilizing its railgun to penetrate heavy armor and its speed to pursue fleeing enemies.

Over time, her character shows increased assertiveness in social interactions, particularly concerning Kenshi, while maintaining her core loyalty to Maria. She supports Maria's romantic interests but also navigates her own feelings independently.
