Originally known only by his experiment number, he received the name "Reuben" from Lilo Pelekai during events in *Leroy & Stitch*, signifying his acceptance into her extended 'ohana. Reuben is consistently portrayed working alongside Captain Gantu, typically as a galley officer aboard Gantu's ship.
