Pleakley, an extraterrestrial from Plorgonar, possesses a slender beige-green body, three legs, and one large eye. Originally an Earth expert for the Galactic Federation, he held extensive theoretical knowledge of the planet despite minimal firsthand exposure. His mission to capture escaped genetic experiment Stitch (Experiment 626) on Earth resulted in a permanent relocation when Stitch remained under human Lilo Pelekai’s guardianship. Pleakley joined Lilo’s extended family, or 'ohana', alongside Stitch’s creator Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Years later in the *Stitch!* anime continuity, Pleakley is stranded on an asteroid in Saturn’s rings after a Galactic Federation mission. Jumba crash-lands there while pursuing Stitch, who regressed to destructive behavior after Lilo left for college. Pleakley and Jumba escape together, traveling to Japan’s fictional Izayoi Island where Stitch formed a new bond with human girl Yuna Kamihara. On Izayoi Island, Pleakley lives with Yuna, her grandmother Obaa, Jumba, and Stitch. He supports Stitch’s quest to collect 43 good deeds for a wish from the island’s Chitama Spiritual Stone, tracking progress via Jumba’s "Good Deed Counter". Pleakley participates in adventures involving local yōkai folklore and recurring foes like Dr. Hämsterviel and Captain Gantu, maintaining his role as Jumba’s friend and partner. Pleakley consistently displays childlike fascination with Earth’s culture and technology, reacting with wonder to mundane human objects. He exhibits anxiety during stress but demonstrates loyalty to allies. His relationship with Jumba evolves from reluctant partnership to deep mutual reliance. Pleakley occasionally engages in gender-nonconforming behavior like wearing women’s clothing, though adaptations like the live-action remake use holographic disguises instead. He appears throughout the *Stitch!* anime series and specials—including *Stitch! ~The Mischievous Alien’s Great Adventure~*, *Stitch! ~Best Friends Forever~*, *Stitch and the Planet of Sand*, and *Stitch! Perfect Memory*—consistently aiding Stitch and Yuna while adapting to Okinawan cultural life on Izayoi Island.
