Description
Niche, a hybrid of the enigmatic Maka, blends ancient mystery with childlike guise, her 200-year existence marked by worship and fear in AmberGround. Discovered as an abandoned, addressless "letter" at a train station, she faced disposal until Lag intervened, redirecting her to the Love Someone Down circus. Though slated for display as the "Child of Maka," she shattered the facility in escape, later pledging herself as Lag’s dingo after he saved her from a Gaichuu.

Her piercing blue eyes and fair skin contrast golden hair that morphs into bladed tentacles—the Golden Sword—crafting tools from nets to drills or hoisting massive weights. Clad in a lavender-pink dress, salmon-pink boots, and concealing oven mitts over bear-like claws, she initially spurned underwear until Lag’s insistence. Feral instincts drive her to sniff threats, lick wounds, and speak in third person, while a fiery fixation on her flat chest sparks violent outbursts toward those more endowed.

Born alongside a twin in Blue Notes Blues to Celia, their mother nearly sacrificed by villagers, Niche was abandoned until reuniting with her sister in a cave near town. Their clash over loyalty to Lag dissolved into shared acknowledgment of their fractured past.

In battle, she wields superhuman strength, agility, and resilience honed over two decades surviving solely on water. Her hair falters against Gaichuu, relying on Lag’s Shindanjuu for decisive strikes. Witnessing Lag’s near-death triggers a fleeting metamorphosis into a teenage form, amplifying her power to vanquish foes.

Accompanied by Steak, a pet detecting Gaichuu vulnerabilities, she fiercely defends her role as dingo, challenging rivals to assert her worth. Bound to Lag by vows of mutual guardianship, she vows eternal allegiance, even should his memory fade.
