Description
Kinzo Ushiromiya, born August 17 in Taiwan, formed a close childhood bond with Genji Ronoue. The Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 devastated his family, leading elders to install Kinzo as a puppet head due to his polydactyly. Stationed on Rokkenjima during World War II, he encountered Italian soldiers and their translator, Beatrice Castiglioni. Kinzo orchestrated the theft of their gold bars, triggering mutual slaughter between the forces. He and Beatrice became the sole survivors, escaping with some gold. This event established the One-Winged Eagle crest, adapted from a misprinted Salo Republic emblem on the gold.

Beatrice Castiglioni died shortly after giving birth to their daughter, Beatrice Ushiromiya. Kinzo purchased Rokkenjima, constructing Kuwadorian mansion to secretly imprison their daughter. His obsession with reviving Beatrice Castiglioni led him to rape the younger Beatrice, viewing her as a reincarnation. This incestuous union produced Lion Ushiromiya. The younger Beatrice died shortly after childbirth. In most timelines, Kinzo entrusted Lion to his daughter-in-law Natsuhi, who later threw the infant off a cliff in rejection. Genji and Nanjo rescued the child, who survived with injuries and was raised as Sayo Yasuda at an orphanage.

Kinzo leveraged the stolen gold to rebuild the family fortune, amassing considerable wealth through investments. He immersed himself in occult studies, dedicating his study to grimoires and magical texts. Manifesting abilities under the sorcerer name "Goldsmith," he specialized in summoning and barrier magic, lacking defensive or elemental powers. He summoned the Golden Witch Beatrice, forming a contract with her. His summoning prowess occasionally surpassed hers, enabling him to conjure demons like Chiester 00, Ronove, and Virgilia simultaneously. However, he remained vulnerable to her power, as she could destroy him effortlessly.

Kinzo married an unnamed aristocratic woman, fathering four children: Krauss, Eva, Rudolf, and Rosa. He expressed lifelong contempt for his children, viewing them as vultures awaiting his inheritance. His wife and children endured verbal abuse, physical violence, and neglect, particularly after Beatrice Castiglioni's death deepened his misanthropy. He showed sporadic care, such as valuing Natsuhi as a family member or allowing servant Kanon to wear the family crest. Eva idolized him, though he dismissed her ambitions due to patriarchal beliefs. Rosa witnessed the younger Beatrice's death as a child, creating lifelong fear of Kinzo's potential retaliation.

His later years centered on reviving Beatrice through occult means, culminating in the creation of the epitaph riddle to guide successors to the hidden gold. He died of natural causes in 1984, though Krauss concealed his death until the 1986 family conference. Across multiple timelines, his corpse was discovered burned in the boiler room or dismembered during magical rituals, identifiable by his polydactyly. In metaphysical realms, he achieved fleeting reunions with Beatrice before his soul's dissolution.
