Description
Ryuro, also known as Ryuroh, mastered the martial art Nanto Ryūō Ken (South Star Dragon King Fist). He earned renown as the "Resourceful Nanto General" (南斗の智将, Nanto no Chishō) through his exceptional tactical acumen in wartime. After widespread violence, he rejected an alliance with Thouzer (Souther) and abandoned military life. He adopted an ascetic existence in Wind Village, dedicating himself to tending windmills and becoming known as Ryuro of the Forest (森のリュウロウ, Mori no Ryūrō).

In *Legends of the Dark King*, Raoh sought to recruit Ryuro for his conquest. Ryuro refused, pledging allegiance instead to Kenshiro, whose philosophy focused on protecting the innocent rather than imposing rule through force. Ryuro implored Raoh to abandon his ambition and join Kenshiro for the greater good. Failing to sway Raoh, Ryuro engaged him in combat. Despite his skill, Ryuro hesitated to deliver a finishing blow. This hesitation allowed Raoh to gain the upper hand and defeat him.

Shortly before his death, it was revealed Ryuro was already terminally ill. His illness contributed to his physical limitations during the battle with Raoh. His final act underscored his unwavering commitment to his principles, choosing to oppose tyranny despite his failing health.

Beyond *Legends of the Dark King*, Ryuro appears in a brief cameo during the Nanto Roku Sei Ken summit depicted in *Rei Gaiden*, effectively replacing the absent Shu.

His character remains consistent: a tactician disillusioned by war who seeks peace through protection rather than domination, upholding his ideals until death.
